This award is intended for the coach who has a long history of involvement in Varsity school sport. It is intended to recognize the coach who has a strong developmental program in the school, and has demonstrated a strong commitment to the total development of the student-athletes in his/her program. While winning is not the only criteria for success, this coach should have produced consistent teams over their coaching career.
All coaches who have coached school sports for a minimum of 25 years are automatically eligible upon nomination from their member school. Basic guidelines for nomination of candidates:
1. Coaches who are nominated should forward a statement outlining WHY THEY COACHED SCHOOL SPORTS, or letting us know WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MEMORY OF COACHING SCHOOL SPORTS to
krichard@schoolsportsnl.ca2. The nominee must coach a sport on the SSNL athletic calendar.
3. All nominations should include a list of accomplishments for the nominee.
4. Application must be received by June 1st of the current school year.
